Interjection คือ คำที่พูดออกมาด้วยอารมณ์ หรือ ความรู้สึกต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นมาจากจิตใจ ซึ่งจะอุทานออกมาเป็นคำเดียว หรือประโยค
เช่น
Ah!, Nonsense!, What a sad thing it is!
